Brian Damonse is a Rastafari herbalist healer - one of a handful of traditional bush doctors left in the Westen Cape. For centuries, ancient indigenous expertise of medicinal plants has been preserved through oral traditions, and healers like Brian are nurturing the endangered knowledge for future generations. He has dedicated his life to documenting and sharing these medical methods in a world so focussed on forward progression that it forgets to treasure the traditions of the past.
